Nick Chubb is still a free agent.
The Browns great hasn't been able to drum up interest after a serious knee injury in 2023 and a rather ineffective 2024.
That doesn't mean his career is over, of course. There's still a lot of offseason left and always a need for running backs in the NFL.
But it must be a lot less fun for Chubb than his prime, and he spoke out about the matter on Monday in an Instagram caption.
"They already wrote my ending when I’m just getting started," Chubb wrote.

There's some serious swagger to that statement.
It would be fair for fans to wonder if Chubb is washed up. He averaged less than 4.0 yards per carry in 2024 as he dealt with continued knee issues.
Without health or age working in Chubb's favor, it's looking like he might still have to wait out on the free agent market for a while.
Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot predicted earlier this offseason that Chubb would shop around for a while and then come back to take whatever offer the Browns have for him.
He should take that deal now, because it's not quite clear if Chubb will have any serious suitors outside of the shores of Lake Erie.
The Browns and Chubb have been together from the beginning, too. They've got a good thing going and no great reason to stop now.
