Randy Moss was a household name in the NFL, mainly as a member of the Minnesota Vikings. He is now in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and has plenty of accolades on his resume.
He began his career with the Vikings after being selected 21st overall in the 1998 NFL Draft. He then spent time with the Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers before calling it a career.
Now, the Vikings are keeping the Moss family ties alive. After the 2025 NFL Draft came to an end, the Vikings extended a minicamp invite to rookie wide receiver Montigo Moss, who played college football at Maine, per Jordan Schultz.
"Maine WR Montigo Moss, the son of Hall of Famer Randy Moss, has accepted an invite to the #Vikings’ rookie minicamp. Moss had a terrific senior season, recording 61 catches for 722 yards and 7 TDs on his way to earning All-CAA honors."
Montigo Moss was with the Maine Black Bears for five years, although he played sparingly in his first two season before earning a larger role the last two years.
It remains to be seen if Moss can crack the roster, or at least earn a spot on the practice squad. Nonetheless, it's a cool moment for the Moss family as he gets the chance to follow in his father's footsteps.
