The Dallas Cowboys are seemingly going into the season as the third-best team in the NFC East. The Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles both just played in the NFC Championship.

The Cowboys relied on the NFL Draft more than free agency to gear up for 2025. The Eagles lost key pieces like Kellen Moore, Darius Slay and Milton Williams. However, there is still a sizable gap between the Cowboys and the Eagles. FanSided's Lou Scataglia urged the Cowboys to make this "major" trade to take their offense to the next level.

"The Dallas Cowboys have been searching for a legitimate WR2 for years now, and just for the sake of the potential marriage between George Pickens and the Cowboys, it should happen, right? Pickens has a strong personality and might not like it that the team just invested all of those resources into DK Metcalf," wrote Scataglia. "The Cowboys have done offense quite well in recent years, but this unit could take a huge leap with another viable receiver in the mix."

With the Commanders and Eagles in the division, it's clear that the Cowboys are either going to need one of the best offenses in the league or an elite defense to compete. The Cowboys' defense is what it is around Micah Parsons. However, adding Pickens to the mix could give them an offense capable of outscoring anyone on any given day.

The Cowboys' offense with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb is already capable of making other teams sweat. Adding Pickens to the equation would give Prescott another reliable target. Additionally, making teams worry about both Pickens and Lamb could open up the run game as well.

Pickens is going to be a free agent after the season and could be in line for a lucrative contract. After giving Metcalf a $150 million extension, the Pittsburgh Steelers may not be able to afford Pickens.
