The Texas Rangers and Corey Seager got some bad news on Wednesday night.
Seager's hamstring issue that resulted in his removal from Tuesday's game isn't going away immediately.
The Rangers placed Seager on the 10-day injured list.
The official diagnosis is a right hamstring strain.
MLB.com's Kennedi Landry reports that Seager's stay on the IL is expected to be "relatively short, just at or around the 10 days."
Seager has dealt with injuries throughout his MLB career, missing at least 39 games each of the past two seasons and also having three seasons in his career in which he played fewer than 100 games.

Seager hasn't dealt with a reported right hamstring issue before. But in 2023, he missed 31 games with a left hamstring strain. He also missed a month in 2019 with a left hammy problem.
Utilityman Josh Smith will likely get a bunch of time at shortstop in Seager's absence. The Rangers may also have to call up infield reinforcements from Triple-A.
Seager was hitting .286 with four home runs in the early going of this season before his placement on the IL.
Rangers fans will just be hoping he gets back soon.
