Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumor season is in full swing.
The Milwaukee Bucks have an interesting conundrum on their hands even if they do decide to deal Giannis. How do they get a proper return of value?
The best route might be to swing a three-team deal in some form, to ensure multiple teams' intriguing assets head back to the Bucks.
The Athletic recently proposed a Bucks-Rockets-Trail Blazers bonanza.
Here's how it breaks down.
Bucks get:
- Amen Thompson
- Jalen Green
- Cam Whitmore
- Donovan Clingan
- 2025 first-round pick (Phoenix)
- 2027 first-round pick (Phoenix)
- 2029 first (most favorable of Milwaukee, Portland, Washington)
- Extinguished 2028 and 2030 previously dealt Milwaukee pick swaps
Rockets get:
- Giannis Antetokounmpo
- Jerami Grant
Blazers get:
- Alperen Sengun
- Jock Landale

Whew, that's a lot of action.
The Rockets have to give up Thompson, Green and Sengun, their three-best young starters, along with promising Whitmore.
The Blazers get an intriguing upgrade at center with Sengun and only give up players Clingan and Grant.

The Bucks get a massive overhaul and a chance to be competitive right away and in the future. That Suns' 2027 pick could wind up very, very high in the draft.
All told, this deal has exciting options for all sides. It might not be perfect and might not get done in this form, but it'd be a fun one to have happen, for sure.
