Top seed Jessica Pegula fought off a strong challenge from Ekaterina Alexandrova to set up an all-American final with Sofia Kenin at the WTA Charleston Open.
Pegula battled back from a break down twice in the third and deciding set to secure a 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 win in Saturday's semifinal.
Former Australian Open champion Kenin reached the final of the WTA 500 green clay event when Amanda Anisimova retired from their semifinal clash with a hip injury.
