The first two days of Women's College World Series competition have concluded and the day has come for the first matchups between the winners from day one. No. 1 Texas is looking for its first national title in program history while No. 4 Florida seeks its third as they face off from Oklahoma City.

The top-seeded Longhorns shut out No. 8 Stanford 4-0 in their first game of the WCWS thanks to a complete game from Teagan Kavan, who struck out eight and walked four in her performance from the mound. Bella Dayton and Mia Scott had an RBI each and Kayden Henry added two of her own to seal the win for Texas.

The Gators scraped by No. 5 Oklahoma State with a home run from Katie Kistler in the fifth inning marking the lone score in the 1-0 game. Keagan Rothrock also pitched a complete game with two walks and three strikeouts, giving up just two hits.

Florida and Texas haven't played since the 2013 Women's College World Series, where the Longhorns eliminated the Gators in a 3-0 victory. Though no one will be eliminated this time, the matchup will display some of the best softball the nation has to offer.
