The Milwaukee Bucks might be shopping Giannis Antetokounmpo this summer, after another first round loss in the NBA Playoffs. While there is a consensus on the top teams Antetokounmpo could be traded to, there is a dark horse that could shake the NBA.

Fansided’s Eamon Cassels predicted the Bucks would swap Giannis Antetokounmpo for another All-Star in New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson, along with some other things.

“While Williamson has had injury problems when healthy, he's one of the league's most dominant players,” Cassels wrote. “Williamson may be the best individual talent the Bucks could land in a Giannis trade. He would give the Bucks a franchise star and allow Milwaukee to remain competitive. At 24, Williamson could get his career back on track, health-wise, and reach another level.”

Cassels also noted that some picks would be included, which would actually be Milwaukee’s own 2026 and 2027 first round picks.

“The Pelicans can offer both of these, and crucially, they can give the Bucks some of their picks back. New Orleans owns the Bucks' picks in 2026 and 2027 via a pick swap; these picks, among more draft capital, would be included in a Giannis trade,” Cassels stated.

This trade would give Antetokounmpo the chance to immediately compete, as he would be surrounded by stars in Trey Murphy III, CJ McCollum, Herb Jones, Dejounte Murray, and whatever top draft pick the Pels select.

As for the Bucks, they get a player that when healthy, is one of the most dominant forwards in the league. A new change in scenery might keep Williamson healthy, and start producing what people thought he would out of college.

Hopefully, the Bucks get on the phone with the Pels, as this trade could answer both teams’ problems.
