The Milwaukee Bucks' season came to an unceremonious end on Tuesday, as they fell to the Indiana Pacers 119-118 in Game 5 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

Given Doc Rivers' history of suffering tough defeats in the playoffs, many people, including Fox Sports 1's Emmanuel Acho, took to X to make their thoughts known on Milwaukee's head coach.

"That was peak Doc Rivers!!!," Acho wrote. "WTF!!!!! The Bucks were up 118-111 with 35 seconds in overtime and they LOST! Giannis had 30-20-13 and they LOST!?? How does this happen! HOW??#FearTheDeer"

Kendrick Perkins responded to Acho on Twitter, defending his former coach.

"That (expletive) had nothing to with Doc @EmmanuelAcho I know that’s the "COOL” thing to say but that was on the Players that were on the floor," Perkins wrote. "Don’t do that my guy."

Perkins won a championship with Rivers in 2008 while both were members of the Boston Celtics.

Rivers has had considerable trouble getting the best out of his teams since leaving Boston in 2013, as he hasn't gotten past the second round of the playoffs during his stints with the Los Angeles Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers.

The Bucks have undoubtedly suffered several bad breaks this season. Damian Lillard was dealing with a blood clot at the end of the season and ruptured his Achilles in Game 4.

Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez have seen some decline in their game and Kyle Kuzma hasn't provided the spark Milwaukee hoped for since dealing Middleton to Washington for him.

However, with Giannis Antetokounmpo's future in Milwaukee in question, the Bucks could look to make a coaching change this offseason to either convince their franchise superstar to stay or implement a new culture for a rebuild.
