Dallas Mavericks General Manager Nico Harrison has been at the forefront of many headlines, questions, and debates since trading away Luka Doncic on February 1.

The "Fire Nico" chants resonated in American Airlines Arena and other places in Dallas as fans were outraged by him trading away the Mavs superstar.

His recent press conference also did not make things any better, so the pitchforks are out for Harrison in Dallas. Unfortunately for Mavs fans, it doesn't look like they will fire Harrison - at least not yet. Instead, it appears they will bring in another executive to work alongside him in an effort to assist him.

NBA insider Tim MacMahon revealed the reported stance of owner Patrick Dumont during an episode of The Right Time With Bomani Jones.

"But Patrick Dumont is not there. He's not there yet. Now, the 'In Nico We Trust' era has ended. He wants him to bring in an experienced exec. I think he's realized he's got to have some checks and balances that weren't in place," MacMahon said about the Mavs potentially firing Harrison.

MacMahon then added that trading Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers was a "disastrous business decision" and could be financially detrimental to the franchise going forward.

Still, while fans want Harrison gone, that might not be the case after all.

Nonetheless, it will be a long, grueling, rumor-filled summer in Dallas, which comes just one year after a trip to the NBA Finals.
