In another familiar Eastern Conference playoff matchup, the Hurricanes and Devils are set to battle in a first-round series, which gets underway Sunday.

The two teams squared off in the 2022-23 playoffs, with Carolina making quick work of New Jersey in a five-game set. The Hurricanes also secured their first playoff series win in franchise history against the Devils back in 2002.

This year's group will look for similar success, buoyed by the likes of Sebastian Aho (team-high 74 points) and Seth Jarvis (team-best 32 goals).

If the Devils are to advance, they'll do so without star center Jack Hughes, out since early March with a long-term injury. In turn, New Jersey will continue to rely on Jesper Bratt and Nico Hischier, with Bratt compiling a career-best 88 points this season.

Carolina has advanced past the first round in each of the last four years. The Devils are back in the playoffs after a one-year hiatus, making their second appearance in the last seven years.

Here's what you need to know to watch Hurricanes vs. Devils, including broadcast information and start times.
