Stephen Curry broke out his "Night Night" celebration.

It wasn't for himself, though, but instead for the teammate that just broke one of his prestigious records, Buddy Hield.

Hield drilled his eighth 3-pointer of the night midway through the fourth quarter to expand Golden State's lead, and Curry celebrated fittingly.

It was the cap to a brilliant night for Hield, one of the most important performances of his NBA career.

He scored 22 of his points in the first half, including six 3s.

The second half was more about Curry, but that just set up the Hield dagger.

And then Hield hit one more 3, his ninth, to tie the Game 7 single-game record.

Curry hit seven 3-pointers on three different Game 7 occasions. He's one of the best Game 7 players ever.

On this night, it was all about Hield.

Warriors fans didn't even want Hield starting Game 7 if you were to believe the comments on X prior to the game.

It's a good thing Hield was out there.

Golden State had struggled to score in Games 5 and 6, both losses.

The Warriors were at risk of Curry and Draymond Green being the first two players in league history to blow two 3-1 playoff series leads in their careers.

But Golden State got the job done on Sunday night, thanks in large part to Hield. For a night, he was all of the Bay Area's Buddy.
