Bills NFL Draft 'dream scenario' results in trading Pro Bowl star image

The Buffalo Bills are in an interesting spot with running back James Cook. They haven't agreed to terms on an extension with the star running back, and he seems headstrong on wanting $15 million per year.

Should the Bills not be willing to budge themselves, Gilberto Manzano of Sports Illustrated says they could trade the Pro Bowler and take another running back in the 2025 NFL Draft.

"Cook was instrumental in the success Josh Allen had last season, but he’s not on the level of Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey to command a contract worth around $15 million per year," Manzano writes. "With a high asking price and depth at running back in the draft, Buffalo would jump at the opportunity to flip Cook for a third-round pick. This dream scenario becomes even sweeter if the Bills take Judkins, the bruising running back out of Ohio State, in the first or second round."

Brandon Beane said the Bills have shelved all extension talks with Cook after spending all offseason handing out extensions. That in it of itself signified they could be looking to trade the Florida State product.

Should the Bills see Judkins capable of providing similar production to that of Cook, perhaps Buffalo does make such a move and decide to trade him.
