Shedeur Sanders rightfully had all the spotlight for the Sanders family during the NFL Draft process, eventually being selected by the Cleveland Browns with the 144th pick.
However, Shedeur's brother, Shilo Sanders, also found a home. Sanders took an undrafted free agent deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after the draft, and the team sounds excited to add him.
Head coach Todd Bowles spoke to SiriusXM NFL Radio, adding that they believe Sanders could be a good football player for them, whether it's as a safety or on special teams.
"I think he’s a good football player. He’s a heck of a tackler, and he knows the game very well. He can see the game very well. So, giving him a chance to play, we think he has a shot to help us from a safety standpoint and from a special teams standpoint.
"So, I’m excited to get him in here and see how he moves. I saw him tackle all year. I saw him make plays. He’s a very smart player and he understands the game very well. So we thought it was worth a shot to see what he can do. And I think he’ll show himself well."
During his time at Colorado, Sanders was typically mocked due to some of his missed tackles. Whenever a player broke a tackle against him, or beat him in coverage, the post was on social media within minutes.
While he isn't the same type of talent that his brother is on the other side of the football, hopefully, the young man will figure it out in the NFL and have a long and successful career.
