The big day for the NFL has arrived, and there’s a lot to unpack just hours before the start of the draft. First off, Miami’s Cam Ward is expected to be selected with the first overall pick by the Tennessee Titans. There’s little disagreement on that front—he’s clearly the top prospect in this year’s draft.

However, the real drama begins with the next two picks, where the draft could take an unexpected turn. Both the Cleveland Browns and the New York Giants are reportedly in discussions with other teams about potential trades. These deals would allow them to move down in the draft while gaining additional assets in return.

The Giants, in particular, have a lot of options on the table. One scenario could see New York ending up with two first-round picks, with the later selection potentially used to acquire a quarterback.

“With veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston now in the building, this could be a perfect scenario to redshirt and develop a raw but explosive and tantalizing talent like Milroe,” Nate Davis wrote.

The Giants have also been linked to another big-name quarterback in this draft: Shedeur Sanders, the son of Deion Sanders.

“It certainly feels like his range ... is three to 21, and I don't like the chances of him going nine,” Adam Schefter said.

However, the Giants' plans might have been inadvertently revealed the night before the draft. General Manager Joe Schoen’s son posted a highlight reel of a quarterback who hasn’t been previously connected to New York.

“Apparently Giants GM Joe Schoen’s son posted a Jaxson Dart highlight reel on IG this NFL Draft eve,” Warren Sharp posted.

This could signal a surprising twist. If the Giants are eyeing Dart, it might suggest they plan to trade back—potentially putting his expected landing spot, New Orleans, at risk. New York holds the power to dramatically alter the entire course of the draft.
