Simone Inzaghi explains how Inter Milan's Lamine Yamal plan failed against 'generational superstar' image

Barcelona and Inter Milan will do it all over again in the UEFA Champions League semifinals as they face a crunch second leg at the San Siro after a thrilling 3-3 draw in Catalonia.

Six goals on the night saw both teams attack freely, as Barcelona battled back from two early goals against, to set the contest up for the return game in Milan on May 6.

Despite both sides being at full power - and pushing for Europe's biggest club prize - the post-match chat was all focused on one player...Lamine Yamal.

The 17-year-old curled home a superb strike on 24 minutes - to haul Barcelona back to 2-1 down - and he terrorised Inter Milan all night long down Barcelona's right-wing.

The teenager continues on his meteoric rise, with praise landing from all sides, as another two barriers were smashed through at full-time.

Aged 17 years and 291 days old, Lamine Yamal becomes the youngest-ever Barcelona player to reach 100 club appearances, and h is now the youngest to score in a UCL semifinal.

Hansi Flick labelled him a 'genius' in his own comments after the game and Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi tipped him to become an all-time great that his side simply could not stop.

"Lamine Yamal is clearly a talent of the type born every 50 years, talents like this I've never really seen before," as per quotes from ESPN.

"I haven’t seen a player like Lamine Yamal in the last 8-9 years. We had to triple mark him at times, and that obviously meant spaces opened up elsewhere. Then he dropped deeper, and in the second half, he showed his quality.

"We adjusted some things, but we have to be better in dealing with Lamine Yamal, which is not very simple."

Inzaghi's final comment indicates he is concerned over how his team will handle the threat in the second game and Flick is expected to rest his superstar winger for the La Liga trip to already relegated Real Valladolid on May 3.
