Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft is here, and the Detroit Lions will have another chance to add more talent to the roster. Detroit addressed the trenches with their first two picks, selecting Ohio State defensive tackle Tyleik Williams with the No.28 overall pick in Round 1 and Georgia guard Tate Ratledge with the No.57 overall in Round 2 through a trade-up with the Denver Broncos.
The Lions traded up again on Day 2 for Arkansas wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa, who will be an intriguing addition to the wide receiver room. General manager Brad Holmes traded two third-round picks in 2026 to move up for TeSlaa.
Though the third day of the draft isn't as eventful as Days 1 and 2, there could be some hidden gems out there that Detroit can get their hands on. Following along with our tracker below for all of the latest picks the Lions make. We'll be providing grades and analysis for each selection after each selection.
Lions NFL draft grades for Day 3
Round 5, Pick 171 (from NE): OL Miles Frazier, LSU — The Lions traded up from No.182 to No.171 to select Frazier, sending picks 182 and 228 to the New England Patriots in the process. The LSU product started over 50 games in college and has experience playing both guard positions and right tackle. He allowed zero sacks in 2024 and could be a future starter for Detroit. An excellent pick to kick off Day 3 for the Lions (GRADE: A+).
Round 6, Pick 196 (from ATL): EDGE Ahmed Hassanein, Boise State — The Lions have finally addressed edge rusher with Hassanein. The 22-year-old was incredibly productive in his final two seasons at Boise State, totaling 12.5 sacks in 2023 and 9.5 sacks in 2024. Hassanein could be a nice rotational piece on Detroit's defensive line (GRADE: A-).
