If Packers' fans want to know about their newest edge rusher Barryn Sorrel, the first place to start is his patience.
The NFL draft has a private spot known as the 'green room' where prospects can wait to be called to the stage when they're picked.
The room is typically reserved for projected first round picks. Once day two and three of the draft start, most of the other draftees are at home with their families and friends.
Barryn Sorrel was the exception.
The Texas product waited in the green room for his name to be called in the fourth round. While most of Saturday's picks were announced by people far away from Green Bay, it was Roger Goodell who took the stage for pick 124.
It's a rare sight to see a draftee share an emotional hug with Goodell on day three.
Reportedly, Sorrel visited Green Bay on night two to visit the draft and meet the commissioner.
He decided to stick around for day three and was rewarded with a hometown welcome.
Serendipity. I'm told Texas EDGE Barryn Sorrell got to Green Bay last night to check out the draft. He didn't get drafted yesterday but stayed and came back today. Midway into the 4th round, he gets drafted by the hometown team. pic.twitter.com/9Fo5zofJFH
