It’s night two of the NBA play-in, and it’s the win-or-go-home night, as the #9 and #10 seeds in each conference square off, with the winner advancing to another must-win to claim the eighth and final seed in each conference.
So we’re looking at props between the Sacramento Kings vs the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat vs the Chicago Bulls.
Read below to find our favorite NBA player prop picks.
Anthony Davis Over 1.5 blocks vs Kings (-125 at Bet365)
Anthony Davis used the season finale to show just what a wrecking ball he can be in the postseason. He lit the Raptors up for 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists, and added seven blocks for good measure.
His swat stat is what’s most intriguing to me, and the 1.5 block line set by the books is awfully generous for a guy who has a career average of 3.3 blocks per game in the playoffs.
And that’s not even counting how he’s wrecked Sacramento’s offense in his time with both the Lakers and Pelicans (yes, that far back).
In his last 18 games, AD has recorded at least two blocks against the Kings 14 times, missing three other times by a block, and only getting shut out once.
I think he’s a 2-way force on Wednesday.
Coby White Under 2.5 3-point makes vs Heat (+100 at Bet365)
It’s been a quiet few games from beyond the arc for Bulls guard Coby White, who shot 37% from 3-point range for Chicago this season.
He’s been given a 2.5 make line against the Heat in the do-or-die matchup, but White has failed to clear this line in three straight games, and in six of the last eight.
While he did go 4-for-7 from distance against Miami in Chicago’s first meeting of the season, he’s gone two straight games without a three-point hit against the Heat, going a rough 0-for-13.
This feels like the right time to take a shot at plus odds and an Under.
DeRozan Under 25.5 points vs Mavericks (-135 at Bet365)
We’ll wrap with veteran DeMar DeRozan, who’ll try to move his team past the Dallas Mavericks.
DeMar hit the wall in the final three games of the regular season, averaging just 15.3 points.
Yes, one of those was an 8-point effort in the season finale over the lifeless Suns, but in key games that could have lifted SacTo out of the play-in, he shot 6-for-20 for 16 points against the Clippers, and then 8-for-26 for 22 points against the Nuggets.
He’s also not exactly the clutchest playoff performer, with a career 21.8 scoring average, shooting just 41.8% from the field and 21.4% from 3-point range.
That’s why the 25.5 scoring line was a little surprising. I think the Kings can run their offense through Zach LaVine, and Domantas Sabonis if Derozan struggles, as getting him going might not be the priority Wednesday.
