It's win or go home tonight for the Memphis Grizzlies and Ja Morant plans on fighting through pain to extend his team's season.
NBA insider Shams Charania shared the latest news on Morant's ankle injury early Friday on 'NBA Today.'
"He has a severe ankle sprain is my understanding," Charania said. "He underwent an injection on Thursday for the swelling and pain."
"But he is telling people he is going to be playing tonight," Charania added. "He is determined to play."

ESPN's Tim MacMahon reported earlier today that there is "not much of a chance" that Morant misses tonight's play-in game versus the Dallas Mavericks.
He added that if it was a regular-season affair, the Grizzlies' star would likely sit out. But since it is a play-in game, Morant plans on doing everything he can to be out there.

We're not expected to get a definitive answer on Morant's status until 60-90 minutes before tipoff in Memphis.
Morant suffered the ankle injury in the third quarter versus Golden State and returned to finish out the game. He ended with 22 points on 9-18 shooting.
