Manchester United have a new manager on the way but have little time to waste as they try to pick up points in the UEFA Europa League.

Before Ruben Amorim arrives at United, Ruud van Nistelrooy remains in interim charge of the Red Devils as they host Greek outfit PAOK at Old Trafford on Thursday.

Van Nistelrooy may be reluctant to ring the changes given how desperately United need the three points, having only collected three from their first three games. But the Dutchman is hampered somewhat given how many injuries United currently have.

United sit 21st in the Europa League as it stands, having drawn against FC Twente and Fenerbahce 1-1 and played out an entertaining 3-3 draw away at Porto.

PAOK have picked up just one point from their three games so far, losing two. United will start as huge favourites at Old Trafford, even despite their recent stuttering form.

United will still be without long-term injury absentees Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Antony, while the game also comes too soon for Kobbie Mainoo, who has been out with a hamstring issue. There is good news with Leny Yoro back in full training after a long lay-off, although it seems very unlikely he will be rushed back for this fixture.

Mason Mount and Harry Maguire are still doubtful but Bruno Fernandes is available again after serving his suspension for a red card against Porto. Van Nistelrooy may give a chance to Joshua Zirkzee up front while Victor Lindelof could come in from the start at the back.

Man United (4-3-3, right to left): Onana (GK) — Mazraoui, Lindelof, De Ligt, Dalot — Ugarte, Eriksen, Fernandes — Amad Diallo, Zirkzee, Garnacho

Injured: Yoro, Shaw, Malacia, Antony, Mainoo, Mount, Maguire, Collyer (doubt)
Suspended: None

Former United youngster Shola Shoretire could feature for the Greek side. He joined PAOK in the summer after a number of years in the Old Trafford academy ranks. Ex-Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren is a familiar name, but he's not been named in the squad so won't feature in this game.

Tiemoue Bakayoko, once of Chelsea, will also be absent through injury, while fellow former Blue Baba Rahman should start at full-back.

PAOK (4-2-3-1, right to left): Kotarski (GK) — Jonny, Kedziora, Colley, Rahman — Camara, Ozdoyev — Despodov, Konstantelias, Taison — Chalov

Injured/unavailable: Lovren, Bakayoko, Samatta, Vieirinha
Suspended: None
