After two decades, Skate Canada International will once again take place in Nova Scotia.

Some of the world's best figure skaters (including four current World Champions) have gathered near Halifax for Skate Canada 2024, the second of the seven-city Grand Prix of Figure Skating series.

Competing on home soil many of the Canadian participants will look to shine in front of their local crowd.

Ilia Malinin of Virginia will headline the men's event after winning the 2024 Skate America last week, thus becoming the first lone male to open two back-to-back events during the Grand Prix season. He will face challengers like Cha Jun-Hwan and returning comrade Jason Brown.

On the women's side, reigning gold medallist Sakamoto Kaori will headline the event and is the favorite to win. However, she will have to overcome the likes of Alysa Liu, Watanabe Rinka, and Kimmy Repond.

Local heroes Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps will look to repeat their emotional victory from last year's event in Montreal. Similarly, the Canadian duo of Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier are favorites to win the ice dance event.

Here is everything you need to know on how to watch Skate Canada 2024:
