31-year-old George Kittle has just broken records after agreeing to a contract that will make him the highest-paid tight end in NFL history.
On Tuesday, April 29, it was revealed that Kittle had signed a $76.4 million four-year contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers.
Kittle has been with the 49ers for eight seasons since being drafted in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL draft. There has been a lot of pressure on San Francisco to keep Kittle around, so this is news that will be celebrated by fans across the country.
Kittle’s wife, Claire Kittle, turned to Instagram on Tuesday to celebrate her husband’s incredibly exciting news.
“Beyond proud of you @gkittle you’ve manifested this ❤️The Peoples TE is back again!” she captioned the post.
She included photos of her and her husband both dressed in San Francisco attire at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. In one photo, Kittle can be seen smiling ear to ear as he prepared to officially sign his new contract.
The Kittle’s friends and fellow NFL family members filled the comment section to congratulate them on this exciting news.

George and Claire Kittle met while at the University of Iowa and have been married since 2019.
