The Milwaukee Bucks’ season is still alive, but for how much longer is the question. The Bucks are down 3-1 to the Indiana Pacers with the series set to resume in Indiana. Plus, Damian Lillard is out for the rest of the playoffs and longer due to an Achilles tear.

If the Pacers end their series, whether it’s in Game 5 or Game 7, that will be three consecutive playoff eliminations in the first round for Milwaukee. That could signal it’s time for a change. The Ringer’s Michael Pina floated that it might be time to trade Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Pina floated the Orlando Magic as a trade partner among the teams to which they could trade Antetokounmpo. He asked, “Can you get Franz Wagner from the Orlando Magic?”

If the Bucks are looking for the best player possible in return for Antetokounmpo, Wagner might be the best one to acquire realistically. Wagner is 23 years old and coming off a season where he averaged 24.2 points while shooting 46.3%.

He would be the start of the next chapter for the Bucks, but a betting man would believe that Wagner won’t reach the same level Antetokounmpo has at his peak. Because Antetokounmpo has won two MVP awards and a title, that would be a pretty high bar to clear.

However, it would be better for the Bucks to get someone good out of Antetokounmpo instead of risking letting him walk for nothing. Wagner has his holes as a player, but at least he would give the franchise a ray of hope, which has come in short supply these days.
