Jade Carey may have narrowly missed the podium at NCAA Nationals – but she didn’t go home empty-handed.
Following the meet, Carey’s girlfriend Aimee Sinacola shared a carousel of photos to Instagram — a series of behind-the-scenes memories and everyday moments the couple has shared this season. The post from Monday, April 21 includes shots of the two smiling, laughing, and supporting each other throughout the year, giving fans a look at the close bond they’ve built.
The post comes just weeks after Carey publicly acknowledged the relationship, and it’s a favorite among fans who are fond of the couple’s openness and authenticity. Their relationship has drawn supportive comments from fellow gymnasts including Simone Biles and Suni Lee. Sinacola works in creative media for Oregon Athletics and has been by Carey’s side through much of her collegiate career.
Carey is a two-time Olympic gold medalist (floor exercise, Tokyo 2020; team event, Paris 2024), and added four more NCAA All-American honors this season, bringing her career total to 16.
This time around the championship may not have ended with any hardware but the support Carey gets off the mat matters just as much and will mean a lot going forward.
