The Colorado Buffaloes just wrapped up one of their best single seasons in recent memory. Led by the dynamic duo of Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, the Buffaloes made headlines all year—especially with Hunter taking home the Heisman Trophy. With just a few breaks going their way, Colorado could have found themselves in the Big 12 Championship and potentially in the playoff conversation.

Both Sanders and Hunter are projected first-round NFL Draft picks. In fact, Hunter is widely expected to be selected with the No. 2 pick by the Cleveland Browns. Sanders’ situation is a bit more fluid—his name is showing up across a variety of draft boards. Some analysts have pointed to the New Orleans Saints or the Pittsburgh Steelers as possible landing spots.

“This young man's going to be just fine. And you know what? I hope he doesn't go in the top three picks. I hope he doesn't. And I think his camp would tell you the same thing. There are other teams they want to go to,” Louis Riddick said.

From the way things are shaping up, Sanders’ heart seems to be pulling him toward Pittsburgh following his visit.

“I understand the mindset and why they win a lot. … What he (Mike Tomlin) preaches from the top down is like my dad. … It was a 10,” Sanders said.

Despite their success, both Sanders and Hunter have faced criticism from analysts. Some have even questioned Sanders' talent, suggesting he wouldn’t be as highly regarded if not for his last name.

With a Heisman winner and a Heisman finalist leaving their mark, the dynamic duo will forever be etched in Colorado history.
