The Milwaukee Bucks have been red hot, winning seven of their last eight games.
Forward Khris Middleton played in six of those games, and though he's shooting 56%, he's averaging a modest 12.5 points on under 32% from three-point range while coming off the bench.
Middleton is clearly not the same player he once was, so the Bucks could look to move on from him to bring more scoring to the mix and try and capitalize on their recent success. FanSided predicts that Milwaukee will trade Middleton alongside Bobby Portis and Delon Wright for Bradley Beal of the Phoenix Suns.
Beal is averaging 17.1 points on 48.5% shooting, which is efficient but not necessarily on par with what's expected out of a player who's making $50.2 million this season.
Kevin Durant and Devin Booker need the ball in their hands to create shots for themselves and primarily operate in the midrange, whereas Giannis Antetokounmpo inflicts most of his damage on quick drives to the rim and Damian Lillard does his much of his work from the arc.
Adding Beal to the mix gives the Bucks a certified midrange threat that draws defenders outside the paint similar to what a prime Middleton gave Antetokounmpo, which is more space to work with down low.
It would also put less pressure on Lillard to create midrange and driving opportunities while significantly reducing the wear and tear on his 34-year-old body.
Beal isn't the same 30-point-per-game scorer he was with the Washington Wizards, but there is still enough gas left in the tank where he can be a difference-maker in the right situation.
