Liverpool continue their push toward confirming the Premier League title as they travel to meet relegation-threatened Leicester City on Sunday.

While neither side has seen their fates at opposite ends of the table officially confirmed just yet, both are almost at the finish line.

The Reds have one hand on the league trophy already, holding a commanding 13-point lead over second-placed Arsenal with six games to go. Leicester City, meanwhile, are 17 points adrift from safety and all but confirmed to be going down.

In fact, it's possible for each club to solidify their places this weekend. If Arsenal drop points on Saturday to Ipswich Town, Liverpool could win the Premier League title with victory over the Foxes, giving them a mathematically insurmountable lead with just five matches to go. If it's not to be quite yet, they could get over the finish line at home as they welcome Tottenham to Anfield the following weekend.

Meanwhile, Leicester City could see their relegation confirmed even before taking the field on Sunday if Wolves avoid defeat to Manchester United in the earlier kickoff and West Ham also pick up any kind of result the day before against Southampton. If that does not happen, defeat to Liverpool could be enough to seal a spot in the Championship next season.

The news is generally good for the Foxes, even if there's little to gain from the remaining fixtures. Leicester City have Wout Faes and Jeremy Monga back in training and returned to full fitness, while Facundo Buonanette is available for selection after sitting out against his parent club.

Victor Kristiansen is also returning from his brief absence due to personal reasons, and Ricardo Pereira finally is ready to start again after returning for four substitute appearances following five months out due to a serious hamstring injury. Bobby Reid gets a rare start on the right wing.

That leaves only Abdul Fatawu sidelined with his knee injury, while Harry Winks remains an outcast reportedly due to a disagreement with Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has recovered from his ankle injury and has returned to Liverpool training. While Arne Slot ruled out the possibility of his sliding straight back into the starting XI, the Liverpool boss confirmed he could feature off the bench, and he is indeed amongst the substitutes.

With Darwin Nunez also back from illness, it leaves only Joe Gomez as the lone Liverpool regular sidelined by injury.

Diogo Jota has started each of the past three games up front, but his poor form (one goal since returning from injury in early February) means Cody Gakpo could be given the start at striker. Kostas Tsimikas gets a second straight start ahead of Andy Robertson at left-back.
