Garrett Wilson wants a contract extension of $30 million per year.
The New York Jets may opt to look elsewhere to fill their top receiver's shoes.
That's how Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox frames the situation. "Theoretically, New York might prefer to reset the contract clock," writes Knox.
If the Jets follow Knox's thinking, Wilson instantly becomes a blockbuster trade candidate.
Knox eyes two destinations that both have ample cap space and new QBs.

One option is the Raiders, who have Geno Smith in town and a star tight end in Brock Bowers but need a WR1.
The other is the Titans, who would get the chance to bolster the weapons around presumed No. 1 pick Cam Ward.
Wilson is still just 24 and has already put up three 1,000-yard seasons.
It seems like the Jets would need a 2026 first-round pick, according to Knox.
Given that DK Metcalf just went for a second-rounder, that math adds up about right.
Given Wilson's college connection with new Jets QB Justin Fields, maybe this isn't bound to happen at all.
But if it did, it'd be just another example of a star receiver joining a new team to prove that he's just as good no matter what uniform he's wearing.
