The Minnesota Vikings could still use some help on both sides of the football, as the team has more questions than it did a year ago.
After playing well last season, finishing the year at 14-3 and in second place in the NFC North, the Vikings struggled in the postseason, losing to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Wild Card round, 27-9.
With youngster J.J. McCarthy expected to take over, the Vikings will have to hope that they're the same type of team they were a year ago. That will likely start on the defensive side of the football once again, as Minnesota was elite defensively last year.
Searching for ways to improve the Vikings' defense, Max Dible of Heavy Sports proposed a deal that would send them the Miami Dolphins cornerback and three-time All-Pro Jalen Ramsey. His deal would involve an original third-round pick and would see the Vikings taking on the remainder of Ramsey's salary.

“In our trade proposal, the Vikings commit to sending their original third-round pick (wherever it falls will be ahead of the projected compensatory selection) to Miami in exchange for Ramsey and his significant contract,” he wrote.
Ramsey still has nearly $25 million in guaranteed money, something the Vikings might not want to take. However, with this defense being as good as it is, and them clearly valuing that side of the football, it could be a deal that makes sense for both sides.
According to PFF, Ramsey was elite again last season, posting a 71.9 coverage grade, 76.9 overall grade, and a top 10 run defense grade for his position.
