Since its debut in December, Anthony Edwards' new Adidas signature shoe line, the Anthony Edwards 1, has dropped more than half a dozen colorways — but the latest "tie-dye" edition has everyone talking — including a few members of fictional law enforcement.
On Friday, the Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard got a "visit" from Ice-T’s iconic Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” fame, along with comedian Veda Howard, as the duo brought their playful investigation skills to Game 3 of the Timberwolves vs. Lakers series, turning the arena concourse "into a peach-hued crime scene” to celebrate the newest AE1 colorway, according to an Instagram post from overtimekicks.
They also star in new commercial showcasing Edwards’s jaw-dropping basketball skills and the “bodies” (aka dunks) he’s left behind.

“How did it happen?” Ice-T’s Detective Tutuola asks, surveying the scene.
“We think it was the traction,” Howard replies. “The herringbone outsole on the assailant’s shoes had him slicing through the defense.”
“Like a hot knife through butter,” Ice-T adds.
The tie-dye version of Anthony Edwards' signature Adidas shoe, the Adidas Anthony Edwards 1 Low "Tie Dye" — dropped on April 19, and shoppers are scooping them up fast.
Boasting a five-star rating, the shoes quickly earned the coveted "popular" tag on the Adidas website — a mark reserved for trending, in-demand items. And reviewers are raving, with one calling them “the flyest colorway!” Another adding, “I love them — the color is fire,” and a third simply posting, “I need these.”
