Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star guard Anthony Edwards is known to always speak his mind and say whatever comes to it.

He is not an athlete that is afraid to be himself by any means.

Think back to February when Edwards spoke to Chris Haynes on NBA on TNT, and he revealed Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant was his favorite player of all-time. Moments like that are what makes Edwards so unique.

In a recent video, some NBA players were asked who their favorite non-basketball athletes are. The first player in the video is Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic, who said Usain Bolt is his favorite non-basketball athlete. Immediately following that is Edwards pondering the question, and after thinking for a few seconds, he says, "George Pickens."

There were plenty of other answers, including Serena Williams, Shohei Ohtani, Barry Sanders, Tiger Woods, and other typical answers you would get. Edwards' selection of Pickens stands out because he isn't nearly as big of a name as other athletes that were mentioned. While it was an unorthodox answer, it makes total sense since Pickens and Edwards both were classmates at The University of Georgia.

Not to mention, both are considered two of the biggest 'menaces' in their respective sports.

Pickens is a wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers and a borderline 1,000-yard wideout in the NFL. He may not quite be on the level of Edwards in the NBA, but Pickens is a top, young receiver in his own right in the NFL.

In addition to showing his friend and alma mater some love, it also checks out since he believes he could also be a professional football player. Could he be planting a seed for when/if he tries to play in the NFL? Either way, Edwards' answer was completely on brand for him and makes all the sense in the world.
