On Tuesday night, the NHL playoffs offer the potential for not one, but two eliminations, as the opening round heats up even more. If that was not enough, there are two pivotal Game 5s late from the Western Conference.
Now, what is next? It is the playoffs after all. Four games are scheduled, with two on ESPN and two on TBS/MAX, beginning at 7:00 pm ET.

Can Toronto And Ottawa Settle A Game In 60 Minutes?
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators have been caught in a rut of sorts. It is excellent for television viewers and even bettors. Yes, three consecutive games have gone into overtime. At one point, the number for overtime climbed well over +300. The first question is, what about a fourth contest going beyond 60 minutes.
The bad news is that the number is backing out to +287 via Caesars. That's still a nice payout. At what point do we get off the overtime bus? For as good as Ottawa has been in keeping this series close, the Maple Leafs have been the better team in most of the tighter moments.
Now, Toronto winning on the moneyline is out past -200 and -205 via Caesars. Winning in regulation springs up to -135 for the Maple Leafs. The key lies in the start, and if Toronto gets off to an early lead, goals could be easier to come by.
The Senators have stayed in this series and have some history on their side. Toronto has a notoriously hard time getting that fourth win. Expect the Maple Leafs to find a way behind an empty-net to cover and hit that Over 5.5 total goals at the end.
Betting on elimination: Toronto Maple Leafs -1.5 goals +143 via Caesars, Game Over 5.5 goals at -115 via Caesars
New Jersey Devils Face The Inevitable End
Every betting expert in creation had the Carolina Hurricanes in five games. At least, that was the feeling going into this series. Carolina was predictably going to win the first two games with New Jersey “stealing” Game 3 before the Hurricanes won the last two contests. Carolina had the easiest road to advance.
At the very least, inevitability among the sportsbooks is high. The moneyline is pushing out to around -280 and may even reach -300. It is even money for Carolina to win by two or more goals on Tuesday night. Expecting a goal in the first 10 minutes is increasing, with odds of -140 available via BetMGM.
What other options may exist? If one has faith in more of a rout, the +2.5 goals is now +165 at BetMGM. Additionally, there is the 1st period spread, which favors Carolina to lead after 20 minutes. At +110, this may be a spot to pounce before it turns closer to Even or worse.
Top Pick: Carolina Hurricanes -0.5 goals after Period 1 (+110 via BetMGM)
Does Edmonton Still Have The Power In Los Angeles?
So, the Los Angeles Kings forgot the memo about the penalty kill. Edmonton has scored on four of its last five power-play chances. It is that fourth goal on the man advantage that evened the series.
While Adrian Kempe continues to play well and Los Angeles does play better at home, did the series truly flip after Game 4? The tendency is to say yes. The problem is what happened in Colorado and Florida on Monday night. Harsh lessons are one thing, but sometimes the home teams do just take care of business.
Interestingly, the odds for Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid remain around +135. Even Adrian Kempe comes in at +150 for consideration. While Draisaitl is unlikely to score 2+ goals in Los Angeles, one can never quite know.
Another wager may be Evan Bouchard getting 3+ shots on goal (-105). Consider he had nine in his last game, and four or more in two other games this series.
Also, do not forget to run with Draisaitl.
Best Prop Bet: Leon Draisaitl 1+ power-play points (+135 via DraftKings)
