Cristiano Ronaldo just keeps delivering the goods! The Portuguese superstar was on target once again as Al-Nassr secured a 2-0 win over Al-Wehda, pushing them ever closer to the top of the Saudi Pro League.
Ronaldo, who netted from the penalty spot, helped Al-Nassr move to within just one point of league leaders Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal.

Pioli's magic touch as Ronaldo scores again
Under the guidance of new coach Stefano Pioli, Al-Nassr has found their groove. Friday night’s victory was their third consecutive win since Pioli took charge, replacing Luis Castro earlier this month. Ronaldo, leading by example, calmly slotted home his fourth goal of the season in the 56th minute after Sultan Al-Ghannam won a penalty.
But it wasn’t just the Ronaldo show. Al-Nassr had already taken control of the game when Angelo capitalized on a brilliant through ball from Sadio Mane to give his team the lead in the 41st minute.
Mane even thought he had added a third goal, only for it to be disallowed because of Ronaldo’s offside in the build-up. Still, Al-Nassr never looked in trouble as Al-Wehda's hopes dimmed further when Waleed Bakshween saw red in the 86th minute for dissent.
Ronaldo, now with 903 career goals, continues to prove that age is just a number. He’s showing no signs of slowing down, and Al-Nassr fans have every reason to believe that more magic is on the horizon. With Pioli steering the ship and Ronaldo leading the charge, Al-Nassr’s title challenge is alive and kicking.
As for Al-Wehda, they fought hard, with Youssef Amyn coming close just before halftime and Juninho Bacuna testing the Al-Nassr defense, but it wasn’t their night.
With just one point separating them from Al-Ittihad, who are well placed at the top, Ronaldo and his teammates have plenty to play for as they next play in AFC Champions League against Al-Rayyan.
