The Pittsburgh Steelers don't have a solution at quarterback. Though the team spent a sixth-round selection on Ohio State signal-caller Will Howard in the 2025 NFL Draft, the 23-year-old isn't ready to be a starting signal-caller yet and needs some development.

Pittsburgh seems destined to land a veteran starter at some point in the next few months, and Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox predicts the team will finally sign Aaron Rodgers to be their quarterback in 2025.

"It feels like it'll either be the Pittsburgh Steelers or retirement for Rodgers. The New York Giants reportedly had interest in him, but they signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston before drafting Jaxson Dart. The Minnesota Vikings were in the market for veteran insurance before acquiring Sam Howell in a draft-day trade," Knox wrote.

"The Steelers have done little at the QB position aside from taking a sixth-round flier on Will Howard. They remain open to adding Rodgers," Knox added.

Rodgers has been linked to the Steelers since the first day of free agency back in March, but the veteran has still yet to sign with Pittsburgh despite visiting the franchise's facility and seeing all other options come off the table.

Though retirement is an option for Rodgers, the 41-year-old could end his career with the Steelers and succeed in his final seasons. Pittsburgh's offense is just a quarterback away from being a productive unit, as they added Pro Bowl wide receiver DK Metcalf this offseason to go alongside George Pickens and also replaced Najee Harris with Kaleb Johnson, who could be in for an electric rookie campaign.

Rodgers is past his prime, but the four-time league MVP could still provide solid play for the Steelers and would be an upgrade over Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.

Pittsburgh is basically out of options. If they don't land Rodgers, Mike Tomlin's squad could be in for a long year in 2025.
