Buccaneers WR depth chart: Emeka Egbuka joins Mike Evans, Chris Godwin as weapons for Baker Mayfield image

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have added yet another weapon for quarterback Baker Mayfield to throw to. On Thursday night, the Bucs used their No. 19 overall pick to select wideout Emeka Egbuka out of Ohio State.

With the addition of Egbuka, Tampa's receiver room now includes the likes of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan. The Bucs, who lost to the Washington Commanders in the Wild Card round of the playoffs last season, now add another dynamic weapon to their receiving corps.

Bucs receiver depth chart

4Jalen McMillan

1.  Mike Evans

Evans has been Tampa Bay's No. 1 receiver for the Bucs virtually since he was drafted out of Texas A&M in 2014. The former first-round pick has had 1,000-yard receiving seasons every season of his Tampa Bay career.

He's been able to stay productive and healthy even entering his early 30s, and has impressively stayed consistent with several different quarterbacks, including Jameis Winston, Tom Brady and Mayfield.

2. Chris Godwin

Godwin is a dynamic slot receiver for the Bucs, who has been a contributor on offense since his 2017 rookie season. He's had four 1,000-yard seasons in Tampa, and finished with a career-high 1,333 yards with nine touchdowns in 2019.

Although he just got a new three-year contract with the Bucs in March, he did have an injury setback just last season. Although Godwin was on pace for another huge year, he went down with a dislocated ankle in Week 7 which sidelined him for the rest of the season.

3. Emeka Egbuka

Egbuka gives Mayfield another deep-ball threat opposite of Evans who can come in and play Day One. He had two 1,000-yard seasons in Columbus, including one during Ohio State national-championship season last year.

Although he was a bit overshadowed by the production of Jeremiah Smith last season, Egbuka elevates an already-stacked receiver room.

4. Jalen McMillan

McMillan had a solid rookie season last year, finishing with 37 receptions for 461 yards and eight touchdowns. Although he slides down the depth chart a bit with the addition of Egbuka, he can still be a valued contributor on offense, especially if Godwin still is rehabbing his injury in early 2025.
