Opposite the Sooners is Texas (42-6), which has a bit of momentum on its side after earning a 1-0 midweek win over Oklahoma State on Wednesday. The Longhorns also enter this series with 13 conference wins and hope to keep their strong road record intact, which currently sits at 13-2.

This weekend's series will be the first time these two teams meet on the diamond since the 2024 Women's College World Series, where the Sooners defeated the Longhorns to win their fourth straight national title. Oklahoma also leads the series, 61-27.
