While shooting around on the court ahead of today's game against Brazil's national team, Cunningham told reporters she plans to shoot from further away than the spot permanently marked on the court where Clark broke the NCAA women's basketball scoring record in 2024.
"I’m gonna hit one beyond that. Then there’s gonna be a big SC," Cunningham said.
Clark first hit the shot on February 15, 2024, and moved back Kelsey Plum as the NCAA leading scorer.
Cunningham wasn't the only one making attempts at the famed shot. Brazil's national team also took turns shooting from the spot, with at least one member of the team making it.
The Fever will face off against Brazil at 3pm CST today.
