The NBA Playoffs are up and running, and they’re repeating Saturday’s playoff 4-pack, with eight fresh teams in their first playoff games of the season on Sunday.
We’ve gathered our intel to deliver our favorite NBA player prop picks from both conferences.
See below for our free NBA picks, starting with Boston’s main man as they start their drive for a repeat title.
NBA Player Prop Picks for April 20
Jayson Tatum Over 24.5 points vs Magic (-115 at Bet365)
I know Orlando brings elite defense to the table, but a 24.5 scoring line seems pretty low for Tatum, who will be the primary scoring option and most reliable, considering Jaylen Brown’s wonky knee, which is a concern.
He’s also a proven playoff scorer, averaging at least 26.4 points per game in five straight playoff years.
It’s not like the Magic have bottled Tatum up or anything of late, either. In his last seven games vs Orlando, Tatum has topped this scoring line seven times, missing the other by a single bucket.
Of those, he has scored 30 points or better four times, including the last time he played them on January 17, when he scored 30 points on 12-for-21 shooting in a 121-94 win.
Bam Adebayo Over 9.5 rebounds vs Cavaliers (-135 at Bet365)
Let’s stay in the East, where Bam Adebayo has looked every bit the glue guy the Miami Heat need him to be on both ends of the floor.
We’ll focus on his rebounding game, where he was solid in both play-in games, picking up double-digit rebounds in both contests, averaging 11.5 rebounds.
The books have dropped his total on Sunday, though, to 9.5 rebounds, which is likely due to the matchup with the Cavaliers and their frontline of Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley.
Those two have helped Cleveland rank sixth in rebounding this year, but I wouldn’t count Adebayo out. He’ll be in among the trees battling, and he’s held his own.
In four games against the Cavs this year, Bam has grabbed at least 12 rebounds in three of them. He missed going over the total in all four by a single rebound.
He should be active on the glass again on Sunday.
Chet Holmgren Over 2.5 blocks vs Grizzlies (+125 at Bet365)
Let’s wrap with a guy that I think will be a huge component of the Thunder’s playoff run, Thunder big man Chet Holmgren.
His ability to stretch the floor on offense will be massive, but it’s his defensive versatility I’m targeting Sunday, particularly blocks.
Memphis loves to score inside. During the regular season, they were second in the NBA, piling up 56 paint points per game.
I think Holmgren, as a back line of defense, is going to get a lot of chances to send shots back.
He only had a pair of 3+ block games in his final nine regular season appearances, but Memphis has seen the damage he can do.
In four career games, Chet has topped this total twice, including a 7-block game in 2023.
