Few teams have ever climbed out of an 0-2 hole in the NBA playoffs, but one team is confident in its chances.
The NBA playoffs tipped off on Saturday and have since taken over the sports world with some high-level hoops. In the midst of all of the incredible basketball has been the Milwaukee Bucks. However, they haven’t been on the right side of things through two games.
The Indiana Pacers earned a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series on Tuesday night and have left the Bucks in clear danger going into Game 3. Although the Bucks have had an underwhelming start to their postseason run, coach Doc Rivers isn’t concerned about his team as the series shifts to Milwaukee.
“I’m very confident about this series. Very,” Rivers said after the Game 2 defeat.
While the Bucks haven’t necessarily played well to begin the playoffs, superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has done his part. Through the first two games, Antetokounmpo has averaged 35 points, 15 rebounds and four assists.
Simply put, the MVP finalist needs his teammates to step up if his team is going to have any chance of moving on. While none of his fellow Bucks have had a great start to the series, Damian Lillard’s return in Game 2 is an encouraging sign.

In Lillard’s first game since going out with a blood clot, he put up 14 points and seven assists while shooting 4-of-13 from the floor. Assuming he can return to form back on his home floor, this series could get interesting.
Rivers’ confidence in his team winning this series doesn’t seem warranted based on his team’s performance in Indiana. Still, with Antetokounmpo on his team, the Bucks will always have a chance to make something special happen. With the next two games in Milwaukee, it might be time for the series to turn in the Bucks’ favor.
