Shedeur Sanders draws outcry from CFB analyst amid Colorado jersey retirement after shocking NFL QB discovery image

Former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders had his jersey retired over the weekend with his dad and coach, Deion Sanders, by his side.

Minus the fair bit of controversy and intrigue Deion Sanders brings to Boulder, some college football pundits are turned off by the Sanders' antics, much more so in how the Colorado Buffaloes opted to honor the projected ninth-overall NFL draft pick.

During an episode of "See Ball Get Ball" with David Pollack and Brent Rollins, Pollack said Shedeur Sanders' honor dumbfounded him despite acknowledging how much of a program-changing piece Shedeur Sanders would eventually become.

"I don't understand this at all," Pollack said. "I'm going to throw some names out to you, Brent. "Joe Burrow, not retired. Tim Tebow, not retired. Cam Newton, not retired. Jameis Winston, not retired. Marcus Mariota, not retired. I can go on and on and on, not retired. Shedeur is 13-12 at Colorado. Like, that's his record. He wasn't an All-American in any year. I don't get it."
