The 2025 NFL Draft is a tough one to forecast when it comes to quarterbacks. Beyond Cam Ward, who looks like the No. 1 overall pick to the Titans, it's anyone's guess where the signal callers will be selected.
Jaxson Dart is a quarterback who has improved his draft stock in recent months, and quarterback-needy teams could take a swing at him at some point. Some draft experts have Dart as a late first-round pick, while others see him going on Day 2.
The draft almost never fails to produce some fireworks when it comes to the most important position in sports. Could we see a team trade up to try and nab the Ole Miss product?

Peter Schrager, ESPN
Schrager's latest mock was released on April 23.
- Round 1, Pick No. 26: New York Giants
Schrager has the Giants trading their second-round pick to the Rams to move up and select Dart. New York needs to hit on a signal caller in this draft to, in all likelihood, save the jobs of general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll.
Bucky Brooks, NFL.com
Brooks' latest mock was released on April 22
- Not selected in first round
Brooks does not have Dart going in the first round. He has Shedeur Sanders as the second quarterback off the board to the Steelers at No. 21.
Chris Simms, NBC Sports
Simms' latest mock was released on April 21
- Not selected in the first round
Simms does not have any quarterback being selected in the first round besides Cam Ward at No. 1 overall to the Titans. He predicts Sanders and Dart will have to wait until at least Day 2.
Vinnie Iyer, The Sporting News
Iyer's latest mock was released on April 17
- Round 1, Pick No. 21: Pittsburgh Steelers
Iyer has Dart going to a different quarterback-needy team in the Steelers. They seem to love his physical traits, and he would be a great fit for Arthur Smith's offense. The front office will also be eager to correct the Kenny Pickett first-round selection from three years ago if given the chance.
Dane Brugler, The Athletic
Brugler's latest mock draft was released on April 16
- Not selected in first round
Brugler does not have Dart picked in the first round. He predicts the Ole Miss quarterback will go to the Browns with the first pick of the second round (No. 33 overall).
Mel Kiper Jr. and Field Yates, ESPN
Kiper released a joint mock draft with Yates on April 15
- Round 1, Pick No. 29: Cleveland Browns
In their joint mock draft, Kiper and Yates have the Browns trading up from the second round with Washington to select Dart in the first round. Cleveland has been searching for a franchise quarterback for its entire existence, and Dart would join a 2025 quarterback room with DeShaun Watson (out with an Achilles injury), Kenny Pickett, and Joe Flacco.
Daniel Jeremiah, NFL Network
Daniel Jeremiah released a mock draft on April 23
- Round 1, Pick No. 18: New York Giants
Jeremiah is highest on Dart and also has him going to New York. He believes the Giants will trade with the Seahawks all the way up to No. 18 to get him. The Ole Miss product would join a veteran quarterback room that now includes Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, and the team hopes he can be its future at the position.
