F1 was in South Beach for the weekend.

The 2025 Miami Grand Prix took place on Sunday afternoon, the fourth annual event and the first of three F1 races set to take place in the United States this year.

Two-time Miami Grand Prix winner Max Verstappen, the reigning four-time F1 champion and winner of the 2022 and 2023 Miami races, came into Sunday as the favorite. Verstappen welcomed a daughter earlier in the week, then showed up to south Florida and won pole position in qualifying on Saturday. Behind him, Lando Norris, the 2024 winner in Miami, began in second position.

Who won the F1 race today?

Championship leader Oscar Piastri continued his dominance to begin the 2025 Formula 1 season, winning the Miami Grand Prix — his third consecutive win and fourth of the campaign overall. Per ESPN, he became the first McLaren driver to win four of the first six races in a season since 1998.👏

Piastri finished 4.63 seconds ahead of his teammate, Lando Norris, and Mercedes' George Russell completed the podium. Red Bull's Max Verstappen finished fourth.

Following his wins in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, Piastri has all the momentum after coming out victorious in Miami.
