Cowboys legend hints at comeback to help Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb image

The Dallas Cowboys are operating like they don't need any help at wide receiver.

But to those outside the organization, it seems clear they could use all the help they could get alongside CeeDee Lamb.

One of the greatest Cowboys ever has thrown his hat into the ring.

Michael Irvin posted on social media Thursday evening pitching himself for a WR spot in Dallas.

Irvin is a Pro Football Hall of Famer and currently 59 years old.

He played 12 years for Dallas, catching 750 passes for 11,904 yards and 65 TDs.

The Cowboys won three Super Bowls with Irvin.

He now is a broadcaster for Fox.

Irvin is probably joking, but who could blame Cowboys fans for wanting to take him at his word?

Lamb needs help.

Prescott is the highest-paid quarterback annually, and the only way to allow him to lead the Cowboys to the greatest heights is to give him the best offensive support possible.

The answer to that conundrum might not be Irvin, even given the great shape he looks to be in.

But there's gotta be more out there for the Cowboys to pursue.
