How did Bill Belichick meet his girlfriend? Jordon Hudson shuts down question in awkward CBS interview image

Bill Belichick's relationship with Jordon Hudson is back in the spotlight after an interview on "CBS Sunday Morning" got awkward.

Ahead of his first summer as UNC's head coach, the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach sat down to discuss his forthcoming memoir "The Art of Winning," as well as some of the lessons learned in his football life. When the topic switched to some elements of his personal life, things took a strange tonal shift.

Near the end of the interview, Belichick was noticeably curt when asked about his relationship with Patriots owner Robert Kraft. When asked about the origins of his relationship with Hudson, the dynamic with CBS's Tony Dokoupil became stranger.

Here's what to know about Belichick's awkward interview and the role Hudson played in it.

Where did Bill Belichick meet his girlfriend?

Near the end of the one-on-one sit-down, Dokoupil asks Belichick how he deals with outside noise surrounding his relationship. As a follow-up, Belichick is asked how he and Hudson met.

That called Hudson to interject.

Hudson, who is in the room during the interview, cuts in and says, "We're not talking about this," causing Dokoupil to stop in his tracks. When he clarifies by asking, "No?" Hudson responds with a firm "No," urging them to move on.

The couple is previously believed to have met on a flight in February 2021, an encounter that was documented by a photo and a story that their first exchange revolved around one of Hudson's school assignments.

Prior to the awkward exchange that included Hudson, Belichick became guarded when asked about Kraft shortly after the five-minute mark.

After Dokoupil lists off what Belichick and Kraft accomplished together, he asks for clarification on why Kraft is not at all mentioned in "The Art of Winning."

Belichick confirms by saying, "He's not. Well, again, it's about my life lessons in football, and it's really more about the ones I experienced directly." When reminded that Kraft is not even in the book's acknowledgements section, Belichick shakes his head before saying, "Correct."

He briefly stumbled over his words when asked about the end of their pairing, calling it a "mutual decision," even when Dokoupil insisted that Kraft used the word "fired" when explaining the end of Belichick's tenure as New England's head coach.
