Colts predicted to acquire playmaking tight end in trade with Bears image

The Chicago Bears have the 10th overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. They could explore trading down with a needy team to add extra draft capital.

The Indianapolis Colts could be targeting Penn State tight end Tyler Warren, but they may not want to wait around until their No.14 overall pick. CBS Sports' R.J. White predicted the Bears would trade the 10th pick to the Colts so they could draft Warren.

"I've put together a trade where the Colts get Nos. 10 and 72 for Nos. 14, 45 and 151, allowing the Bears to move down a few spots and receive a massive Day 2 boost," wrote White.

He also predicted the Bears would use the 14th pick on Texas A&M pass rusher Shemar Stewart.

"Stewart has been a popular prospect in terms of team visits, and all we know about his stock is that he's -2000 to be a first-round pick at DraftKings, and only one other player actually available in the market (you can't bet on anyone we've covered so far at this point) has shorter odds (Jihaad Campbell)," wrote White. "DL/edge was third in terms of odds for the Bears' first pick, but it's too early to go with a prospect at either of the other two positions (running back, offensive line)."

Warren would be a great addition for the Colts and they could be willing to swing a trade to make sure they land him. Last season, he had 1,451 scrimmage yards. He had a Big Ten-best 104 receptions and scored eight receiving touchdowns. He also had 218 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.

The Colts would be jumping ahead of the San Francisco 49ers, who could be looking for George Kittle's eventual replacement, and the Dallas Cowboys, who are looking for weapons on offense, regardless of position.
