The Seattle Seahawks held their first practice of rookie minicamp on Friday and it was the first chance we got to see third-round pick and quarterback Jalen Milroe getting in some work with his new team, and donning his new jersey.

Thanks to beat writers on the ground, we got some clips of Milroe in action, although there really isn't much to gauge from the videos, as it wasn't a full practice.

First, here's a clip of Milroe simulating a play-action pass. As you can see, he's operating at a slow speed and isn't wearing a helmet or pads.

In the next clip, we see Milroe in a helmet and taking snaps under center.

Following practice, Milroe said it was a "dream come true" to get his first reps with the Seahawks.

He also added that the team has encouraged him to use virtual reality technology similar to what Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels used.

The idea is to help him work on progressions and timing.

We already know Milroe has elite athleticism, but the make-or-break factor for him in the NFL will be his ability to progress as a passer.

Thankfully, Milroe is going to have plenty of time to develop with Sam Darnold and Drew Lock sitting in front of him. In the meantime, the Seahawks are likely planning to utilize him with a special package of plays.

"He's a unique, special athlete, special young man," GM John Schneider explained. "We're going to develop him as a quarterback. But with that, he can add something special as we go."

Friday was just the first step of many Milroe will take in his goal of becoming the next franchise quarterback for the Seahawks.
