As one of the NBA's greatest-ever talents, Stephen Curry has a treasure trove of glittering showcases under his belt.

The Warriors guard has produced more times than most during the postseason, and although he's only claimed one Finals MVP over the course of his career, Curry's left his mark in plenty of playoff contests — particularly in Game 7.

With another on the horizon against the Rockets on Sunday, here's what you need to know.

Stephen Curry Game 7 stats

Curry is, simply put, one of the greatest Game 7 performers in NBA history. Coming into the 2025 playoffs, the Warriors guard only took part in five such contests over the course of his career. More often than not, he was wondrous. Curry increased his averages in points, rebounds, and assists with the lights at their brightest.

Curry is averaging 32.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 7.0 assists across his five Game 7 appearances.

When it comes to raising his performances in his biggest games, Curry is no anomaly. The same fate befalls LeBron James and Kevin Durant, as well, whose production leaps markedly in Game 7 matchups.

Still, Curry is, undoubtedly, a big-game player. No statistic displays that reputation more than his Game 7 numbers, a mark of pride he carries with him whenever a series grows long and weary.

“If you don’t show up with that appropriate mentality," Curry said, per NBA.com, "then you got a long summer vacation ahead of you.”

Here's a look at Curry's sterling Game 7 figures, as well as how they compare to his regular season and playoff tallies:

Stephen Curry Game 7 record

Curry's outsized performances in Game 7s haven't necessarily guaranteed success in the do-or-die affairs. He's sporting a 3-2 record in Game 7 matches, a solid, if unspectacular mark.

Clippers 126, Warriors 121, 2014

Curry's first Game 7 was a sordid affair, filled with thrills, spills, and a bevy of free throws. Despite falling short of his typical efficiency from the field, Curry racked up 16 free throws in the contest, pushing his scoring total to an impressive 33 points. He added nine assists, five rebounds, and three steals during the contest, a strong showing for a Game 7 debut.

Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to outgun the Clippers, who used a third-quarter scoring outburst to inch beyond the Dubs.

Warriors 96, Thunder 88, 2016

Golden State capped off its 3-1 rally with aplomb, claiming a 96-88 win over the Thunder in Game 7 of the 2016 Western Conference Finals. Curry was ebullient as ever, producing a sterling 36-5-8 state line — on 54.2/58.3/100 splits — to lead the Warriors to victory.

Cavaliers 93, Warriors 89, 2016

Curry struggled mightily in his Game 7 duel with the Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Finals. He tallied just 17 points on poor efficiency (6-of-19 shooting). His showcase proved costly, as Golden State fell to Cleveland, spelling a disappointing end to its 72-10 season.

Warriors 101, Rockets 92, 2018

Houston famously clanked 27 straight triples en route to their nine-point defeat in the 2018 Western Conference Finals. Curry showed out throughout the contest, however, authoring up a near triple-double with 27 points, nine rebounds, and 10 assists. He tacked on an additional four steals and even collected a block, dovetailing well with Kevin Durant in the process.

Warriors 120, Kings 100, 2023

Curry's latest Game 7 showcase was by far his most impressive. He racked up 50 points against the youthful Kings, sinking 20-of-38 shot attempts. Golden State wasn't able to collect a second-straight world title, but Curry left with a masterpiece in his collection. Not too shabby for the then-35-year-old.
