The Aussie Open is set to get off to a mixed start on the weekend with cloudy conditions and the odd downpour forecast for the opening day on Sunday.
There is currently a 60 per cent chance of rain throughout the afternoon, with the chance of a thunderstorm also threatening.
This threat will linger into Monday where heavy cloud coverage is expected to be all around Melbourne Park.
In fact, the cloudy conditions are set to continue across the first few days of the tournament with intermittent showers also predicted.
