The rules are for the most part consistent with those of the men's game, except for the length of the match, as well as certain interchange limits.

How long is a women's Origin game?
Each match is scheduled for 70 minutes, unless each team finishes with the same score in which additional time will be allocated for golden point.
The halves are 35 minutes each, a revision that has been implemented in recent years from the original format of 60 minute games with 30 minute halves.

How long is a NRLW game?
NRLW games follow the same protocol as women's Origin in terms of match length.
Each match is also 70 minutes long with 35 minute halves, a far cry from the 60 minute structure which was discarded in 2022.
